Overview

The American Jewish Military Service Initiative is a consortium of five organizations: the West Point Jewish Chapel Fund, the Friends of the Jewish Chapel at the United States Naval Academy, the JWB Jewish Chaplains Council (part of the JCCA), the Jewish War Veterans of America, and Hillel International. We formed AJMSI because we believe that service in the United States Armed Forces is important for the American Jewish community. Our goal is to increase support for Jewish service in the Armed Forces by informing and educating Jewish organizations about the rich history of American Jewish military service and why it's important for Jews to serve in uniform today.

Thanks to a significant grant to the West Point Jewish Chapel Fund, AJMSI will provide speakers to Jewish organizations at no cost to those organizations. Our speakers include serving members of the military, service academy cadets and midshipmen, and retired service members, including retired Jewish generals and admirals. AJMSI will also assist Jewish organizations in arranging military-themed events, such as, for example, programs for Veterans Day and Memorial Day.

"Completely amazing. I was so inspired by the courage and patriotism of our U.S. Army speaker!"
