  1. Is AJMSI affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. military?

    AJMSI is a consortium of private organizations that are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense (DOD) or the military services. One of our member organizations, the JWB Jewish Chaplains Council, is accredited by a DOD entity, the Armed Forces Chaplains Board, as an ecclesiastical endorser of military chaplains. AJMSI’s private organizations all believe strongly in the value of U.S. military service by Jewish Americans.

  2. What types of organizations will AJMSI support with speakers?

    We will provide a speaker to any American Jewish organization. Our speakers can talk about military service to Jews of all ages, from young children to seniors, and from all sectors of the American Jewish community.

  3. How do I obtain a speaker for an our organization?

  4. What will it cost my organization to bring in an AJMSI speaker?

    There is no honorarium or speaker fee changed. Once approved, AJMSI will fund the travel costs to send a speaker to an organization.

  5. Can our organization request certain types of speakers?

    Yes. We have a broad list of speakers in several categories, from service academy and ROTC cadets and midshipmen to Vietnam veterans to retired senior officers. We will work with you to select the right speaker for your group.

  6. Can we request a virtual speaker?

    Yes, some of our most successful engagements are via Zoom or other virtual platform. We are happy to provide a speaker to speak about Jewish service in the United States Armed Forces in the best venue for each organization.

  7. How can I volunteer to become a speaker?

    AJMSI is always on the lookout for outstanding Jewish servicemembers and veterans who are compelling public speakers. Please visit our How to Help section to discover how to volunteer.

  8. What is AJMSI's privacy policy?

    Our organization takes privacy seriously and takes steps to protect and ensure the safety of our supporters. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our volunteers or supporters outside of our immediate organization. This policy has no exceptions. We do not sell or exchange information with any other organizations, public, private or nonprofit.
